Atlanta United have announced the signing of Greek striker Giorgos Giakoumakis from Celtic. The 28-year-old joins the Five Stripes on a three-and-a-half-year deal, becoming their tenth signing of the summer.

Giakoumakis, who stands at 185cm and weighs 82kg, has been in impressive form for Celtic since joining the Scottish club from VVV-Venlo in 2021. He has scored 26 goals in 57 appearances for the Hoops, including 12 goals in 33 appearances this season.

The Greek international will be hoping to continue his goalscoring form at Atlanta United, who are looking to improve on their disappointing 11th-place finish in the Eastern Conference last season.
